The organization was started in 1948 by W.W. Rester as a commercial air conditioning, heating, and refrigeration service company operating under the name of Rester Refrigeration Service. Since that time the company has done work in all areas including commercial, industrial, governmental, academic and medical environments. In 1991 the New Orleans division, i.e. Rester Air Conditioning & Heating Inc. was sold to Gil Watson, who after re-capitalizing the company absorbed the former parent company’s operations. In 1998, following two years of operations as a division of Watson Mechanical Service the company formerly changed its name to Watson Mechanical Services, Inc. per amendment to the company’s articles.
Recognized daily for the quality of their installations and the integrity of their service department, references by mechanical engineers, manufacturers and clients are numerous. The company has been a Trane and Carrier dealer for over forty years, Lennox and York dealer for over twenty years and as such the service personnel have earned national recognition. Known as a problem solver, the company continues to be called in on complex HVAC problem resolutions for the national manufacturers, commercial and industrial clients.
